Today Bro is accompanying mum to National Cancer Centre to do some test because couple of weeks back, she went to Polyclinic for mammogram and the report show some changes so they want my mum to go for further test. Mum is worried sick but honestly speaking i didn't think much about it cos i strongly feel that she's fine cos she goes for her mammogram every 2 yrs.

Anyway, i reached home around 8.20am and they left around 8.30am. Gisele is sound asleep that time so i find a comfortable spot and get back to sleep too. Managed to fall asleep only 30minutes later. Around 10am, Gisele is moving so i was like 'Pls don't wake up so early'.. haha.. I quickly pat her so she will go back to sleep and it works.. It happened again half an hour later and she went back to sleep again. Around 11.15am, i heard her crying i got a shock and sat up immediately. She's facing down and i can hear her crying, i though she might have a bad dream so i pat her again to give some comfort but it didn't work so i called for her twice, after the second call she turn and opened her eyes a little and look at me in a sad face and blur face, after a couple of seconds she smiled. :) She quickly sat up, when i lean forward wanting to carry her out i smell a foul smell.

That is when i knew why she is crying... Tummyache.. After washing her up, we went back to the room and she went to the crib and took a DVD and passed to it saying "Zhe Ge" = "This one" so i knew she wanted to watch it so i on the main switch and when she saw me switching on the main switch she quickly run to the player and start putting the disc in. You know what, she's 3 months away to 2yrs old and she knows how to operate a DVD player!! Mind you, she even know how to change to another disc and play it again.. She's really smart girl!! Hats down!

Everytime when the show starts she will walk to the other end of the room and sit down to watch the show. Good girl! So when she does that i went to make her some milk. When i came back, her eyes are stick to the television so i just sat beside her and watch together. She seems to understand a little cos when there's some scene that is cute or funny she will smile. Hehe. So cute right?

Around noon time, i sms Bro and asked about Mum, he replied 15mintues later saying the report is out and the result is good. So i asked them to have their lunch before coming back. =) Now mum can stop worrying already and play with Gisele! haha..

Nope, we didn't go out today.

Gisele is getting cuter each day.. =) Love her! Got to reach mum's place by 8.30am tomorrow.. Duh~

Last week i was at MPH during lunch after my meal, i was reading PEOPLE magazine and come across this article saying the IN color for nail polish now, which is what Rihanna is wearing. Green color, i immediately like the color so much. Green sounds a bit scary for nails but it actually look pretty nice! I was hunting for it these few days but no luck, so i decided to check out OPI since they have many types of shades for different color and Voila, i found it!! But it cost $21 for 1 bottle i was thinking, that is crazy as i usually spend the most $5 for 1 bottle of nail polish. But i really like the color and they actually have this promotion where u buy the package which includes the green that i wanted plus orange and it comes with a free lunch bag at $33 so i bought it. =P hehe.. Anyway i did mention that my lunch bag is going to die off soon. So it's one stone hit two birds!! As for the bag, i actually don't really like it but never mind, since it matches my nails color i shall use it then. =D

Ok, enough of the nail polish. Now lets talk about what i've bought for Yan. I bought 3 packs of COSI milk and 3 types of treats for her.. Wee~ (for her). I actually thought she will love the milk but she only finish half of what i gave her. Maybe she's not used to it, shall give her lesser the next time. =)

1st lesson

The place i have to stand during morning if i skipped school. Muahahaha.... *Shy

Today is the first lesson for POM, totally not looking forward going to the class. But still, if you want the paper you have too.. That's what i kept telling myself, after all it's the last one. So when the clock strike 5.59pm, i shut down my laptop and left quietly... Haha.. Reach Tiong Bahru Plaza around 6.20pm bought Mee Rebus for myself and Popiah for mum and went home. Gisele as usual, being a sweetheart she welcome me with a big smile. =) So heartwarming. Once i got in the house, get settled down and sit down for my quick dinner she sat down next to me. =D hehe.

Left house for school at 7.05pm as mum went to buy some groceries, class ended just at 10pm. Pretty tired after a long day.. Overall the class was still quite enjoyable i can say, thanks to the jokes the lecturer and classmates created.

Where they came from

Was chatting with my ex-colleague this afternoon and suddenly something strike my mind. I somehow feel that Yan got those ticks from the clinic when she was staying there during her diahorrea incident.

The more i think of it, the more i'm sure it's from there.

Cos Ticks comes from grass field or from other dogs. But Yan don't go to places with grass, cos i don't wish to have insect jump onto her so usually don't allow her to go near area with grass. Not to mention, she seldom have the chance to mix with other dogs unless going to the vet.

Which is why i think it's from the clinic. I still remember her scratching herself a lot when she's in the clinic when we visit her and she smells too.

I guess they don't wash the cage clean enough and maybe the towel given is not clean or it used by another dog before and not washed..

Sometime i'm really pissed with them for not being responsible. I remember seeing ants in the cage of a pet grooming center. (At Vivo, you should know which one now)

If you are a pet shop owner or doing something related to Pets, please, if you don't love pets or animals don't do anything related to them and treat them like goods and neglect their health and the environment they are staying. I will never patronise your shop!

As promised

As promised, i woke up and made many calls to the pet grooming center and managed to get hold of one and brought Yan down immediately.

When we are there, i asked the groomer if she knows how to spot ticks, she say Yes with a straight face and i'm glad. At least someone more experienced can check again for me.

Waited outside the pet shop for almost 3hours, finally Yan is done. I asked whether there's anymore ticks, she say No firmly, i was thanking God at that moment. But still, to be safe i spent $60+ on Frontline Plus so i can make double sure and also in case if there is anymore of them i can eliminate them right away.

When we reached home, we examine her again and spotted 2 more (Damn it, that stupid groomer) and quickly applied the Frontline on her. After that spotted another one near her arm but have finished 1 dose so have to let it spread itself. After applying, we were dicussing whether to remove them or not but i'm afraid i might not be able to do it correctly so we dropped the idea and decide to let the doctor do it tomorrow.

But after 20minutes, i can't take it and i'm still worried that they might spread virus so i took a tweezer and remove them. The 2 that we drip the solution on directly is very easy to remove, whereas the one we didn't i actually tried 4times before successfully removing it, but it was smashed by the force i used on the tweezer. (Serve you right, you wicked creature) Then like what we did yesterday, i quickly clean up the wound and then check again if there's anymore that we missed out.

I almost forgot when we were trying to remove the last one, one annoying tick jump out of nowhere and landed on the funnel Yan was wearing while i put the Frontline and when removing those idiots. We are so surprised by it cos it's alive and still jumping so Hubby quickly get a tissue to catch it before it runs away. Luckily we manage to catch it.

Checked everywhere, under the paws, under the ear, tail area, armpits, everywhere and think there's no more before we put everything to a rest. I seriously hope there's no more. Please!! Go away if you are there!

We are worried that it might be from the mattress so i changed the bedsheet and washed the blankets.

Now we have no blankets, and Yan have no furs...

Bought these pillow case from Tiong Bahru Market at $9. So cute, i heart my Melody!! My 'My Melody' Mug in office is broken, got to get a new one! Hmph~ And also, my lunch purse is going to break off soon. Got to get a new one too!! I've been using that purse for like 4 years man..

Ticks! Yikes!!

Woke up today, Yan was beside me so i stroke (Saiyang) her as usual. Then i feel a small lump on her neck, i sat up and examine it. I though it might be some flakes or just some tangled fur, but it wasn't either of it. It looks like a meat lump at first, so i quickly on the lights so i can take a better look at what it is. It look a bit brownish-pink, half of the size of a raisin. At this point, my hair starts to stand already. I stared at it for around 3minutes, i notice there's small brown lines on both side of the lump, it seems attached to her body but it also look likes dropping off so i tried pushing it wanting to see if it will drop off but it didn't no matter how many time i try.. The more i look at it (especially those thin lines) the stronger i feel it's a insect.

When i strongly feel that it's an insect i scream for Hubby, then he came running in asking what happen. Then we decided to bring her to the vet on Monday since it's already closed for the day and tomorrow it's not open. After that, we make sure she's okay and left the house to meet Gisele.

When we finally get home in the evening, i looked at the lump on Yan again and i can't stand it so i decide to remove it. So i grab some tissue and gather my courage and pinched on it and pull. 1st attempt wasn't sucessful so i tried again, this time i exert more force and also making sure i won't hurt Yan, i manage to pull it out and i almost jump when i looked at the lump that i pulled out from Yan's back, it's freaking moving, very active and alive. This time i'm 200% sure it's an insect as i can see it's leg moving vigously, trying hard to free itself but no chance my dear, no chance. In fact you should thanks God that i didn't not burn you to death which i thought i should after throwing you out of the house. I passed it to Hubby and asked him to take a close look so we can explained it to the doc when we visit him on Monday.

After talking to Hubby, we check Yan and see if there's anymore and spotted another one on the same spot. So i quickly pinch it out again, this time a small one. So much smaller.. It's black in color, look pretty much like a mini spider. Alive too.. Didn't send it to the firehole cos it's too small, i'm afraid i might drop it and let it flee. So i throw it out of the house again.

Now, 2 in a row really freak me out... I on the PC immediately and do some research and get to know it's actually tick, which is actually quite common for pets. But it's the first time happening to my dear Yan so i got so panic.. They actually feed on mammals blood.. Ok, i know most people probably know about it when i'm a baby. Blame myself, i should actually read up more on pets. Blame my laziness..

Continuing my research, i was told from the net to quickly clean the wound with some soap and use warm water to clean again. So i did it immediately. After that i read about using de-infect solution to clean the wound, so i went to use the solution which was given by the vet sometimes ago and clean the wound again. I know i very kiasu but it's better to be safe than be sorry.

After all the drama, i continue to read up on the stupid ticks and fleas and make up my mind to bring her the groomer and shave her down so we can check her again.
